About Me	born in rural SW.Va. to loving parents--my dad, a logger/sawmill owner and my mom, a wonderful housewife and small business owner; graduated from Marion Senior High, Wytheville Community College, Concord College and University of Virginia; moved to and remained in Fredericksburg Va. since 1973; retired after working 34 years in public schools as a teacher, counselor and administrator; married my college sweet heart, Dana, while in under-grad school--recently celebrated 39 years of a blessed union; have two grown children and two grandchildren; been a member of the Senate of Virginia since 1984-- 3rd in seniority; currently working at Mary Washington Healthcare, Director of Corporate and Community Programs; have a strong faith in God, believing that life is good, that all people are created equal and can to be forg...(read more)
