About Me	Retired in 2023 after spending 36 years in local government management (since 1987). Before that, I worked in various part-time jobs in Lisle -- Haverlandt's Camera Shop, Lisle Street Department and my favorite -- Book Nook. I worked there on and off for around 20 years starting in 1978 after Charlie Haverlandt closed the camera shop. Walked in shortly after Jerry and Sue Waskelis bought the place and told them they should sell and develop film since the camera shop just closed. Jerry said he didn't know anything about it and I told him I would be glad to set it up for him. Next thing I knew I was working there during high school, undergrad, grad school and another few years after. Happy to have been a part of that iconic business in the heart of Lisle. ...(read more)
