Favorite School Memory	Enjoyed sock hops after basketball games. The Lions winning a trophy for basketball (I believe we were the underdogs). I had a great time in school, and enjoyed all my classmates and most all the teachers.
About Me	Worked at Chicago, Burlington & Quincey Railroad starting in Aug. 1961. Met my husband while working there. Quit work after having our first child, and stayed an active full time mom untill our youngest son was 10 years old. We lived in the "old homestead" on Schwartz Ave. in Lisle the first five years of marriage, then purchased a newer home in Naperville, IL. This was a great location, since my husband changed jobs. Northern Illinois Gas Co. (now NICOR) took him on and he retired from the company with 31 years of service in June, 1999. During his time with the company we transferred to Normal, IL and lived there for 18 years before being transferred back to Naperville, IL. I worked at Illinois State University part-time in the food service department for nine and one-half years. At that time we moved from Normal, IL back to Naperville, IL. where I got a job in food service at DuPage Community College. During my three year employment, I took classes receiving a certificate in travel. Of course at that time the travel industry was having difficulty, so I took computer classes and in the summer of 1993 I was hired as an office assistant in a Naperville sales office of Commonwealth Aluminum Corp. After six years I was able to retire at the same time as my husband. So, we both retired June, 1999 and by June 10, 1999 we were in Colorado living in our new home in Loveland, CO. Two of our three sons were established in Loveland and within a year our third son joined us. We stayed in the Lovelalnd home for five years and found a new home in the very quiet, small town of Johnstown, CO. We sold the Loveland house and have lived in Johnstown, CO for three and one-half years now (1-27-08). I think Johnstown reminds me of Lisle, IL when I was growing up, a...(read more)
