| About Me | After high school I attended Graceland College in Iowa for a year. I guess that I was not ready for college enjoyed the freedom to much and dropped out. Working for a news paper, magazine printer and manufacturing company. I decided that was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I enrolled in an aviation program at Central Missouri State University, now the University of Central Missouri. I graduated with Batchelor degree in Aviation Science, and a Masters in Aviation Safety. Also I earned my wings with a private pilots license. After graduation I married a woman from the east coast in Liberty Missouri. We moved to Connecticut were I worked for Sikorsky helicopter for seven years. We lived through hurricane Gloria and Baby Rachel was born in New Haven, Connecticut. Layoffs took me out of that job. We moved south to Jacksonville, FL to live with family for nine months. I thank Liberty high school typing class, and the ability to remember my training. I don't remember how many letters and resumes that I sent out. But we finally found work with Boeing Helicopter (at one time Piasecki helicopter company) in Pennsylvania. We lived in Delaware due no sale taxes. While there baby Jacob was born in Newark, Delaware. We lived there through 9/11 and US political upheaval in the nineties and early twenty-first century. I transfered to Boeing Wichita and switched to fixed wing aircraft and in the world of flight test. Twelve years later Boeing closed the Wichita facility. All in all, I have worked on the Navy's MH-53, Army UH-60 programs with Sikorsky. The Army CH-47, Marine V-22, Air Force tanker programs, and B-52 upgrade programs with Boeing. I never had the opportunity to work with the Coast Guard, or NASA. Since that time I have worked as a substitute teacher, as a manufacturing engineer for GE engines and a Security officer for a hospital. I am attempting to retire again. Hopefully health issues will not get in the way. We are looking forward to...(read more) |
