About Me	I moved back to my hometown in 2006 after living in NC for 7 years (WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T COME HOME?). Afterall, you can take the girl from the mountains but you can NEVER take the mountains from the girl! lol <3 Making a new start after a divorce and the death of my parents - (Mom in 2001 and Dad in 2008). I've overcome a few obstacles in my life. However, I believe they have shaped me into the person God wants me to be! I teach 1st grade at St. Charles Elementary and love EVERY minute of it! I was surprised and honored to be named Teacher of the Year for the 2012 school year! <3 It is truly my calling and feel blessed to do what I love! I also work at Covenant Mountain Mission Bible Camp (served as camp manager for 5 years) and attend Wallens Creek Covenant Church. Other interests I have include: singing, performing in our local community theatre (The Lee Players), and being outdoors. God has answered so many prayers for me recently! I'm loving life and all that it has to offer! I have a wonderful family! My brother and sister and their famililes (6 nieces and nephews....and one beautiful Great-Niece & 4 bouncing Great-Nephews!) mean the world to me! Richie and I were engaged on March 25, 2011. On December 17, 2011, we were married!! It's so wonderful to be loved by your best friend! He is all I've ever wanted in a man. He loves me unconditionally, encourages me in everything I do, and makes me laugh non-stop.....and has me just looking at life with such happiness and love! On April 30, 2012, we discovered that we were going to have a little bundle of joy!! Gage Abraham Barker was welcomed into our lives on December 20, 2012. He weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz and was 19 3/4 in long. He was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen and I'M SO HAPPY ...(read more)
