Will Herthie Shields, born September 15, 1971 in Fort Riley, Kansas, is a celebrated former American football player best known for his outstanding career as an offensive guard in the National Football League (NFL). A notable alumnus of Lawton High School in Lawton, Oklahoma, Shields went on to play college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, earning consensus All-American honors and winning the prestigious Outland Trophy.

His professional career, entirely spent with the Kansas City Chiefs, is remarkable for the fact that he never missed a game in his 14 seasons. In addition to his iron-man streak, Shields' career was filled with numerous accolades. He was recognized as the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year in 2003, made the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team, was selected to the Pro Bowl 12 times, made the All-Pro first team three times, and the All-Pro second team four times. Moreover, he was inducted into both the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
