About Me I am enthusiastic and fun to be around. I work hard and talk a lot. Growing up near Detroit, I inevitably love hockey and the Red Wings. Because I grew up on the water, my favorite things to do in the water are wakeboarding, boating, and scuba diving. While I do not live on a lake anymore, I am close to the Gulf of Mexico so I can go in the water a lot. I have always been interested in the law, justice, and arguing (not necessarily the results of argument, i.e., people being irritated with me afterward). In high school, I was active in Student Council and became employed at the local probate court and prosecutor's office as a student assistant because of my volunteer work within juvenile justice division's Teen Court program. I attended Michigan State University for undergrad at the James Madison Residential College. There, I developed a general fondness for philosophy. Even though I spent a majority of my studies on political philosophy, I very much enjoyed cultural anthropology and existential philosophy concerning the fundamental questions of good and being. While attending Michigan State University, I worked the midnight shift as a Night Auditor at a local hotel. I definitely saw some some bizarre things at that position, but it turned out to be a great college job. Since finishing courses at Michigan State University, I spend a short period of time interning at the Wayne State University Center for Peace and Conflict Studies. There, I conducted graduate level statistical and historical research on the economics of war from 1900-2000. I finished that research in July 2009 and moved to Florida to attend Stetson Law School in Gulfport Florida, located just outside Saint Petersburg, in August 2009. Law school is grueling, time consuming, and probably not worth the work load, but I met the love of my life there. Also during law school, I developed a great fondness for teaching because I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to be serve as a Teaching and Research Assistant for the subjects of Constitutional Law and Contract Law. So during law school, I guess you could say I fell in love twice, with teaching and with Alexandra(mazing). I passed the July 2012 Florida Bar...(read more)
