| About Me | Enlisted in the Navy, spent 1 year on a ship out of Mayport, Fl. Went to machinists school in San Diege and then to a repair ship in Norfolk, Va. When I mustered out, I got a job as a machinist in a shop here in Topeka. Joined the Soldier Township Fire Department in 1976, Got my EMT and Fire Fighter III certification with a Journeyman FireMedic credential. Started working in the education department at St. Francis Health Center in December of 1979 and went into the Maintenance Department in 1984. Retired from the Fire Deapartrment in 2004 with 28 years service as a Lieutenant/FireMedic. Started running the Boiler Room in 1995 and enjoy the work. We have 2 great kids, Carrie has a Master in Social Work and works in DeSoto Ks. David is a certified welder, married and they are expecting their first child around the 21st of October 2009. Have had a great life and have a great life to live in the coming years. Deb and I are both involved in our Church, David and his wife are both deaf and Deb is working with the church in providing interpreted church services for the community.
