About Me	I worked in university administration for 15 years as an assistant dean in continuing education departments at Oklahoma State, the University of Tulsa, the University of Illinois and Dallas County Community College. Throughout my career, I led advisory boards and steering committees consisting of business and community leaders. Additionally, I developed and managed a plethora of educational vehicles for multiple community audiences including nursing. Most of my time was spent conducting research and writing / managing grants. As a result of these experiences I became interested in medical research. My wife, daughter and I recently moved back to Dallas from Kansas City. I took advantage of this move to change the focus of my career. Having managed to obtain all of the science courses I willfully neglected during my previous education programs, I am working on obtaining a second masters in Molecular Biology. The plan is to ever so slowly move on to a PhD in Cancer Biology. I will specialize in Pediatric Oncology research, hopefully at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Children's Hospital. My activities will include managing clinical trials, conducting research, teaching advanced cellular / molecular biology and assessing patient care via applied research.
