| About Me | If anyone is interested in contacting me, the easiest way is through Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/scott.harding.52 I have great memories of my school friends and I'm always very glad to hear from them. I spend much of my time working overseas and I've lost contact with many of my old friends over the years. I always very much appreciate it when people take the time to send me a note or email and I always enjoy sending a reply. But please forgive me if I don't reply right away. I get busy sometimes! I ended my work as a training specialist in 1989 and joined the US Peace Corps, where I served as a development worker in Kenya until 1991. I had wanted to live and work overseas since I was a teenager. I wanted my life overseas to be an adventure but also wanted it to be something rewarding. I started as a project manager and over time moved into program development and strategic planning. I've worked on medium/long term contracts for many NGOs, UN agencies and the United States Agency for International Development. The job I've enjoyed the most so far was managing the Program Office for the USAID Mainland Southeast Asia Regional Mission. We had programs in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam and the work was fascinating. The last few years I've been working mostly as a consul...(read more) |
