About Me	The best day of my life was when I met Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior! August 9th, 1974 I had attended a company party through Falcon Products, Inc., in St. Louis, MO. A friend, Tom, was killed driving home from that party. It shook me to the depths of my being.... I found myself asking: "Why, God, why? Why did 28 year old Tom have to die like that?" And guess what? NO ANSWER FROM GOD. That was scary. Where was GOD in all of this... A very special and close friend, Carole, took me to see her pastor who shared some basic truths from the Bible that made sense to me for the first time. Number one: God loved me, Diane, and wanted to have a relationship with me. Number two: He loved me so much that He sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for MY SINS, my WRONGS. Yes, I had NO DOUBT that I had done wrong in my life....that I was far from being a perfect person! Number three: I had to invite Jesus Christ into my heart, into my life, and let Him be my Savior turning from my way of life (my sinful ways) and follow Him through His Word, the Holy Bible. That was the day that I did just that! I was "born again" and the Holy Spirit came into me! Immediately I knew that I had eternal life! I had a new desire to live a life pleasing to God, a desire to read the Bible and pray, and a new love for my family (i.e. my step-dad who I had so disliked) and friends. I began a new life of adventure with Someone Who has become MY VERY BEST FRIEND!!! Thank You, JESUS! I love YOU! The precious pastor who led me to Christ back on August 9th, 1974, in St. Louis, MO, wrote in my Bible: "The Bible will keep you from sin, or sin will keep you from the Bible." How very true. Every day there are sins that I must ask His forgiveness for (even thoughts, words, attitudes) and then continue my spiritual journey. It is a life of great adven...(read more)
