Entered the US Air Force out of High school, spent 2-winters in Niagara Falls, then shipped out to Bien Hoa, Vietnam for a year. Worked on a Mortar crew for 3 months, then tower guard for the remaining year, watching for rocket launches, and enemy infiltration.
