| About Me | After high school, I completed a BS of Ed in Mathematics at Slippery Rock and enlisted in the Air Force Space Systems Command. Following discharge, I taught high school Mathematics at Butler for 3 years. I then took a position in a programming department at the division of Westinghouse that built large electrical power generators located in East Pittsburgh, PA. Two of the 2+ years spent there I was a Systems Analyst and used project management software to simulate job shop scheduling. In 1972 I transferred to the division of Westinghouse that used project management systems to build nuclear power plants located in a suburb of Pittsburgh. While there, I finished graduate work at Indiana Uni. Of PA, earning a MS in Mathematics. Two years later, I transferred to the Westinghouse division that was building a Breeder Reactor in Oak Ridge, TN. I left Westinghouse in 1977 and took a position teaching Computer Science at the community college in Allegheny County, PA. I Taught at CCAC for 22 years while consulting to business part time. My company grew to include 49 people which was more than the part time consulting job I originally envisioned, so I retired from CCAC in 1999.
