About Me	On June 3rd 2014, two Hamden High School graduating seniors were the first recipients of the John A. Edmonds Academic Achievement Award. Each student was awarded $500.00 to assist in the furthering of their education. This award would not have been possible, if not for the generous donations of many. As many of you know, my Dad was viewed as a mentor and an inspiration to many Hamden High School graduates and as a token of his unwavering desire and countless efforts to assist students, The John A. Edmonds Academic Achievement Award was created. It is our desire to keep his legacy alive by continuing to assist those students who had they not had someone to inspire them; their graduation may not have been possible. On behalf of the Edmonds family, I would like to thank those who have contributed to this award as well as for the well wishes that continue to come our way.
