About Me	Initially, right after high school I enrolled at the UW. Unfortunately, I dropped out just before spring quarter. Unbeknownst to me, a tumor was growing in my head that started to affect my ability to fully function. In 1984, when I was 25, I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor (the pituitary is the master gland of the body). I was told the tumor started growing as I entered puberty and went undiagnosed for 12-years. By the time the tumor was discovered, it had wreaked havoc on my immune system, vision, appearance, and my mental health. I started my career in local and county government in 1987, and have worked with the city managers of the cities of Yakima, Burien and Shoreline.
