About Me	Wow, it's been a while, this could take a minute. Once out of high school I attended the University of Alabama Birmingham where I acquired a paramedic certificate. I worked as a paramedic in Birmingham for 7 years before moving into management. I married a wonderful woman that I met in Gardendale and finally married. I left EMS and became a police officer for a while, but it didn't take long to realize that line of work doesn't pay well. I returned to EMS with an ambulance service in Birmingham and was quickly moved back into management. My company moved my wife and I to New Orleans where I was the director of our LA operations. That worked out well, right up until hurricane Katrina. I had to stay and endure the storm because of my responsibilities, and then manage our team during the aftermath. That was an interesting event to say the least. After my performance managing the evacuation, protection of our team, and then the aftermath, my company offered me a corporate position as Director of Safety, and was offered the chance to live anywhere that we have operations.
