| Favorite School Memory | grade school memory - someone ran past and shouted "Hi Ronnie". I was too shy to talk back then, sometimes can't seem to shut up now - ha - oh wait - I did get to play the clarinet polka between 2nd and 3rd acts of the junior play - oh now I remember - Played in National FFA Band In Kansas City for a week - we led the American Royal Parade in 1958? my number was 10-4 (ten from the front, four from the left when we lead the parade), came home and soon missed school (geometry class) w...(read more) |
| About Me | college at Pittsburg - then Independence - then briefly hospital patient in Kansas City - worked as cleanup boy at Thriftway bakery - then back to PIttsburg then KC bakery again - married then bakery at Wichita - then as cloth spreader at shirt factory in Neodesha - then from 1966 on (even now 4-17-2013) as pressman in Fredonia - we walk nearly every evening and I push a bike to ride home if I get too tired - watch TV Big Bang Theory, The Middle - formerly Happy Days - played reeds in pit orchestra for musicals in many area towns, and summer band in Independence and Parsons, tried to fill in on sax at Iola college last fall - even went back to FHS to play in the pep band a few times a few years ago when a director friend was short of willing students to play - now read read read - Reading an old book now "The Guns Of August" often read math books, many other subjects - went to Panama City FL to visit my son and family when he was Flight Surgeon there some years ago - saw spring break kids on the beach - sent paper on how to regulate the weather theory to Physics Teacher at Pittsburg thirty some years ago - response - the advisor Dr. Nichols had moved to Iowa and unexpectedly died of heart attack. - been attending several funerals in re...(read more) |
