The values , morals ,principals an understanding that a family consisted of a husband and wife that one day would be a mom and dad to children they would give birth to. And im thknking all these valuable things passed from generation to generation has been losing value thru each generation. What will my grand child (if I am blessed to have in the future ) be exposed to as they are raised? It breakes my heart to think of things that I cannot protect them from that I had been protected from by my mom and dad whom I am thankful for . My respect is less than they deserve and I am sorry for that. My parents gave us a good life, even the bad times look great when I compared them with the problems of todays world. I was raised believing in God but missed out on the relationship with God til I was 23 years old and my son was 2 . It was because of religion. Being taught of the traditions of catholics kept me from the knowledge of needing a Personal relationship wjth God. But the funny thing Christianity didnt play a part in the values morals or princilals i was taught and beleived that just happened to be the same as our Christian Nation. . . So christianity or not ther are set of standard that is what it is . Sad thing is that it may someday it isnt what it was. I gave offered Christ to my son and he wanted it he took it. He is no different than any of us with christ trying each day to be better in Christ . My family will keep moving forward towards christ even though there will be those long never ending batles between self god and a corrupt world we live in. We will go thru fires together and not be seperated in the fire but come thru it on the other side together. God is a choice and one that we committed to as individuals as husband and wife as a child and as a future husband and future father. And I pray that my sons future wife and mom share with us these same values and pass them to my grandchildren one day so that world would continue to...(read more) |
