| About Me | Practiced medicine in Juneau since 1973; Retired 5/2012 from 39 years as a General Surgeon in Juneau, Alaska; Moved to Panorama (retirement community), in Lacey, Wash. June 2014. In Juneau, thanks to current wife's lead, sponsored and helped to settle two male teenage Vietnamese in 1980. Both married--one with 5 children, the last of whom soon will become the fifth college graduate. The young men came to the US as refugees with no reading or writing skills in their own language--they have done remarkably well, thanks to their own cultural ties, and the Grace still present...(read more) |
