| About Me | I've been married since 1970 to Joyce Zankel Lindorff, my best friend, soulmate and lover, and a phenomenal keyboard player specializing in baroque and early classical (harpsichord and fortepiano) into the bargain. Joyce, originally a Jersey Girl, is a professor of early keyboard at Temple U. We met the year I transferred from Wes U to Sarah Lawrence College, one of the first 10 guys there, though I ended up back at Wes (long story). I've been a journalist since 1972, freelance since 1979, with the exception of five years ('92-'97) for Business Week based in Hong Kong and covering HK, China and Taiwan. We had our daughter Ariel, now finishing her PhD at Oxford, when we were both 35, and at age 44 adopted our son Jed from an orphanage in Hong Kong while living there.
