About Me	Married my military pen pal in July 1980. We have two birth daughters, 25 & 22 and a 16 year old foster daughter. Our oldest graduated from NYU, lives in Brooklyn and is a set dresser. Our 22 year old is in her last semester of nursing school and works at a military hospital in Las Vegas. Our foster daughter is a junior in high school. My husband, Mike served nine long months overseas during Operation Enduring Freedom and finally retired as a Chief Petty Officer from the U.S. Coast Guard in 2007. We took a trip to Europe "to go someplace that he wanted to go, not where Uncle Sam wanted to send him" to celebrate "our military retirement." I've been with him since he was an E-1! Mike works full-time in law enforcement. He received a Medal of Valor for his efforts in the line of duty during a fatal shootout with an armed fugitive. (I thought sending him to war was dangerous!) I have been very blessed to be a stay/work at home mom and work around my daughter's schedules. I taught sewing classes at the local youth center for many years.
