About Me	Moved from Corning in 1984 to Wasilla Alaska. Went out for 5 man girls basketball and made the state championship team. Changing from six man to five man basketball was quite a feat. My Wasilla coach said I could travel further on two dribbles than anyone he ever saw. (extremely hard to break that habit) I attended University of Alaska Fairbanks obtainiing a Degree in Teaching, majoring in mathmatics and minor in Chemistry with intention of becoming a pharmatist. I would have had to leave the state of Alaska to obtain a pharmacy degree, therefore elected to go into teaching. I have taught Kindergarden at Big Lake Elementary School in Big Lake Alaska for 10 years. I have two boys, ages 13 and 11, who have played hockey since they were three years old. Zackory, my oldest will be playing varsity hockey this fall. Hockey is a very demanding and time comsuming sport for both student and the parents. It tot...(read more)
