| About Me | Born to Clinton King and Brenda King-Sterling.His father was absent from his life whom he never met. Therefore, Ryan has struggled with self-esteem, behavior problems, and speaking in his private and public social life from elementary to junior year in high school. However, from a early age he always had an interest in church, and became an usher at Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Compton, CA. Mr. King always loved interacting with people, so he was determined to overcome the odds. In his senior year in 2000, he branched out into the community, from 2000-2003 he hosted a television show called "All 4 You" on Long Beach Public Access that showcased local gospel, r&b and rap artists, young entrepreneurs, and interviewed such notable guests such as Judge Mablean from "Divorce Court", and Aaron Meeks who played Ahmad on "Soul Food weekly t.v. series. In 2001, he joined Young Black Leaderes, the meetings was held in Compton Community College board room under the direction of the President, Renard Smith. From 2003-2007, he has volunteered behind the scenes at City of Refuge & Dorean Edwards event "Stop The Violence, Think Education, Put God First" in September, Judge Mablean H.U.F. Awards Fathers Day event in June, Lady of Soul Awards, BET Awards and Celebration of Gospel. Ryan King recent accomplishments are being a secretary on the Associated Student Body and was elected Student Trustee at Compton Community College on June 1st 2008, which he cut his term short due to personal circumstances . He is the visionary, host, and coordinator of a God given vision called "Resurrected Life Awards" that honor males who fathers are absent and who has overcome obstacles in their lives. The five(5) awards that are given are Moses(speech & public speaking), Abundant Life(injustice), Meshach, Shardrach, & Abednego(low self-esteem & worldly desires), Kingdom Minded(Behavior problems), and College Bound(Mental & Financial).
