About Me	Completed one year of the Secretarial Program at Saginaw Business Institute and received a certificate, comparable to a high school diploma. Worked a few different jobs after my extended schooling and then got a job with the State of Michigan. I got married, had 2 kids and continued working. My husband passed away in 2002 from kidney cancer. I was alone for 3 1/2 years and then reconnected with a classmate at our 35th reunion. We ended up getting married in December of 2005 and I retired from the State of Michigan with 31.8 years of service in June of 2006. My husband, Tom Sanborn, went into the Army right out of high School, got out after 3 years and went to work for the Sheriff's Department in Polk County, Florida.
