About Me	High school, I graduated from Bridgewater and taught middle school social studies in Durham New Hampshire for a couple of year. In 1968, I got a draft notice and decided to join the Navy. I was a communication technician in the Navy and spent most of my time in Rota, Spain. My wife substituted and taught in the local military school. At the end of my enlistment in 1973, we decided to travel in Europe and apply for positions with the Department of Defense Overseas Schools. I was hired as a Social Studies teacher at Frankfurt High School in Germany. I taught US History and coached football and soccer for six years. In 1979, I was selected as principal for a small elementary school in Delmenhorst Germany. The next year, I became assistant Principal at Kaiserslautern high school. In 1983, I became principal of a K-8 elementary school in Aschaffenburg. In 1988, the school was selected for national blue ribbon recognition and I was named Principal of the Year so I was promoted to Superintendent of the Okinawa District. I retired from federal service in 1995 and served as Superintendent of School here in North Kingstown for twelve years. I am currently working as an educational consultant and have done jobs in Puerto Rico Pakistan and Egypt. I also am certified as a financial planner.
