About Me	Would have graduated in 1966 with you but my parents were divorced and my sister, Marsha, and I moved to Ventura CA where I started the ninth grade. I had made the football team in Burlington and was ready to play ball but things didn't work out that way. Never went out for a sport again, Things got tough for me. I went to 5 different high schools in 4 years, Buena Vista, Ventura , Camarillo, Oxnard and moved to Daytona Beach, FL in Jan of 66 and graduated in May. Enrolled in Daytona Jr. College in Sept 1966. At the time I had enough of different schools and decided to joined the Army and see the world. I joined in September of 1967 and went to Vietnam in February 1968 until February of 1970. I went to work for United Parcel Service in February of 1971 and remained a loyal to Buster Brownt until September of 1998 when I retired at age 49. I took 2 years of Karate from age 47-49 and had 7 belts out of 10. 10 being a black belt. I also fished every fishing hole in Virginia. We moved to Statesville NC and lived on Lake Norman for 12 years where I fished a lot! In May of 2012 we moved to The Villages, FL where we are today. Since being in Fl. I have golfed, fished on the Gulf several times and just enjoyed the lifestyle of The Villages. Due to knee surgeries, 5 shoulder surgeries and various other aliments I am not involved in much more than going to the pool., In 1971 I married Karen King, from Statesville NC. She has been a stabilizing force for me during some tough times. She is beautiful inside and out! We have enjoyed spending time with my sisters children over the years. About 10 years ago the 513th Engineers that I was assigned to in Vietnam started having reunions. I have enjoyed catching up with the guys and visiting with them in various locations around the country. Its a great group of men. The wive...(read more)
