About Me	After 20 yrs as Senior Surgical Asst., I was forced to retire due injuries/illness. Shortly before my so called 'retirement', I made sorrowful, but necessary, life change deciding to leave my 2nd husband, after 30 yrs of marriage, to save my sanity (long story). Little did I know at the time that I would be seeing him everyday again as of sept.9, 2016. On this day my worst fear was only 5% chance away. That 5% was the chance of survival given to my youngest son (20 yrs & 9 weeks old on that day) because an 83 yr old woman was in a hurry to get to the store, pulling out in front of traffic & said she didn't see my son, his bright red motorcycle or helmet in broad day light with absolutely nothing obstructing her view. Yep, u bet I'm still mad. For the next yr. I lived in 4 different hospitals, 2 nursing homes, 1 rehab center (700 miles from home), & did rehab with him at home & in a rehab ctr closer to home. Actually, I guess it was more like a 2 yr time frame that he tried everything in his power to walk again. Sad to say, it looks like his 16 broken bones, grade 4 ruptured sorta, & 20 other injuries are going to prevent him from reaching that goal. Fortunately though, he was a firm believer in ATGATT (All The Gear All The Time) so had a proper fitting helmet which saved his brain.
