Gross initiated his career by launching the Beverly Hills Weekly in 1999. His contribution to the publication, which has released over 1,100 issues as of 2020, cannot be overstated. Beyond his publishing career, Gross is an accomplished attorney, admitted to the United States Supreme Court, United States Tax Court, United States Court of Federal Claims, and the District of Columbia Bar. For good measure, he also holds a California Real Estate Broker's license and an FCC radio license under the operator class of technician.

Having established a significant presence in the media, Gross has often appeared as a television and radio commentator. His discussions primarily center on local and state politics, campaigns, entertainment, public education, real estate, and topics related to Beverly Hills. Some of his past appearances include popular media outlets and programs such as CNN, KIRN, WUST, USA Today, and Nevada Newsmakers.

In 2014, Gross was selected as the host for Beverly Hills View, a public affairs television program. This role has allowed him to expand his influence within the media industry, and the program has earned six cable awards under his leadership. Further showcasing his commitment to his community and Alma mater, Gross serves as the president of the Beverly Hills High School Alumni Association.
