About Me	I was born & raised in Berea & attended school at the old Berea High School. Served in the US Army from 1969-1971. Was with B 1/7, 1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam war. Medals include Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal for valor, Air Medal, & Combat Infantry Badge. While attending EKU, I obtained my real estate license and worked in real estate, starting at Pennington Real Estate & other places. I served on on the Berea City Council for 3 terms in the 1980's. During my tenure, we created the Industrial Park, fought Cable TV monopoly & rates, brought new industry to town, & I proposed the new city ordinance that changed that the property owner was responsible for maintenance of sidewalks & city streets in front of their property. Now the city maintains the city streets, paid for with auto gas taxes at the pump. Berea was stagnant in early 1980,s with no jobs for our youth and no tax base to provide services like today.
