About Me	I attended BSU, where I was active in Campus House ministries. There, I met my husband, Robert Brown, and was married in August 1980. Bob has worked his entire career in alternative energy, primarily in geothermal heating and cooling, and is currently Vice President of Engineering and Product Design for WaterFurnace International. Our first child, Veronica was born in 1983. She has her Bachelor degree in Political Science, is married and has a daughter, Bridget, who is 8 months old. She works with the House Republican Campaign Committee in Indianapolis. Our second child, Tyler, was born in 1985. He obtained his Bachelor degree in Telecommunications and Computer Science. He is now married and works in Web Design for Franklin Electric International. Our youngest child, Michael, was born in 1992. He is a freshman, and is engrossed in his favorite activity: marching band. He plays snare drum and drum set. Whle raising our family, I obtained my Master's degree in Elementary Education and Learning Disabilities while I taught full-time. In 1995, I began additional graduate studies and obtained a Director of Special Education license in 2000. After working for nearly 8 years as Director of Special Education for a cooperative of six school districts in northeast Indiana, I realized I needed to experience working in a single school district. I subsequently left my position to take a position as Assistant Director of Special Education for a single district in July 2007. It has been a wonderful experience, and I hope to continue for several years to come. In addition to all that I have mentioned, with all the changes that my life has brought me, the one constant in my life has been my relationship with my Lord and King, Jesus Christ. Both Bob and I are Christians (as are our three children and two children-in-law) and have been quite busy in a variey of ministries within our church, the Markle Church of Christ. Our ministering has covered the 28 years of our marriage, and while it began in our home with our children, it has also encompassed teaching, leading worship in song, church leaderhship, and supporting individuals with disabilities within the church. Currently, we teach the 2 year-olds during Sunday School (they are a blast!) and sing/play in the praise team. Bob is also an elder where he has served for many years. I hope our story is far from over--we have a lot of plans for continuing to remodel the house we built nearly 20 years ago, spending time with our family and friends, and just enjoying the life Go...(read more)
