| About Me | Hello to all my old friends, hope you are well! Since leaving collage early in 1981 I became a hard working blue collar man. Always wanting to be in independent entrepreneur I began my first company later that same year. American Window Tinting, Inc. was my first venture and after years of hard work, struggle and determination the company developed into the largest company of its type in a 9 state region. In 1988 I was elected by my peers as President of the Colorado Glass Tinters Association and later in 1993 as President of the International Window Film Assoc. These associations dealt mainly with legislatively issues regarding regulation of just how dark you car windows could be. After a divorce from my first wife I started NWi Manufacturing and went to market with a Colorado made “Window Tint Meter” that police and regulatory agencies use to measure optical density of window films. This was the most frustration time of my life to date as I struggled with a small market electronics product whose marketplace was largely diminished by some bonehead competitors in Boston whose pricing policies suggested that we were selling transistor radios instead of sophisticated optical measuring devices. After 8 years of struggle in electronics manufacturing NWi’s primary product line was sold off to a company in Detroit. The money received from Detroit was then used to begin a line of Window Tint Application Squeegees. This endeavor became very successful as my product designs are now sold in 160 countries around the world. In 2001 I added to the manufacturing element of the organization by starting Rocky Mountain Window Films, Inc. which is a wholesale distribution company that sells tint films to most of the Tinting shops along the Front Range. Between the two branches of the company, now called Colorado Wholesale Group, Inc, I am able to eke out a comfortable living and largely enjoy what I do and love to design and launch new product lines every year. I now live on top of Look Out Mountain overlooking the city below and the eastern plains beyond. I absolutely feel like a blue collar “Gipsy in the Palace” among the prominent residents who reside in our neighborhood. I have been married twice and have...(read more) |
