About Me	After graduating, I had two wonderful children. We moved to Olympia where I worked for the state of Washington. I eventually became an IT manager, serving as CIO towards the end. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with advanced Ovarian cancer in 2000 and advanced Breast Cancer in 2005 and had some serious surgery and chemo. I am in remission from both. I just wish I hadn't gained 40 lbs from steroids! I married a wonderful man at the end of the BC chemo. How many women can say they were fat, bald and over 50 on their wedding day? :-) The doctor shakes his head at me. He doesn't understand why I'm doing so well! <vbg> My daughter teaches high school and my son was an international computer consultant, but is now taking a "work break" to care for my dad. They are both good kids and I'm proud of them. I am also enjoying my three grandchildren, 5, 10 and 17 years old. In fact, I'm writing a children's book to appeal to the same audience as Harry Potter and I'm using their names as the leads. When it's ready to be published, I'll post the info here. At the rate I'm going, it could take another year! I'm such a perfectionist, I keep stopping to research to ensure I'm accurate. I can't believe it's been over 40 years since graduation.
