About Me	Born and raised in southern California, I was a football player AND band geek at the same time during my high school days. I completed my undergrad studies in History at UCLA. I also earned a Master's degree in American Studies at Pepperdine University, Malibu, California. I am and will forever be, first and foremost, a teacher, in one capacity or another, for however many remaining days I may have. Spiritually, I consider myself an "agnostic Episcopalian" (go figure that out!), who greatly admires Zen practice and Buddhist philosophy. And finally, as inspired by Dr. David Livingston (I presume): After my time comes, and they ask what to do with my "discarded clothes" (C.S. Lewis), tell them to bury HALF my ashes in a black cardboard box in slightly deep, left-center field (they who really know me will know the place). That way, I'll be able to hear the sound of children laughing and playing every day.... at the only place on Earth I will forever call home (RHDJH). Then, have them pour the other half into the waters of Marina Del Rey, standing at the edge of the marina side dock of the UCLA Boathouse.... without any doubt, the site of another of the happiest times of my life. But tell them they MUST take my heart back to Westwood.... and bury it under the spot where I left it (in spirit) almost 30 years ago: Center court, just in front of the student section.... in Pauley.
