About Me	I joined the Air Force in September 2003, and was shipped out to Lackland AFB, Texas for Basic Training. I then went to Goodfellow AFB, Texas, and graduated from the Department of Defense Fire Academy in March 2004. I was first assigned to the 375th Civil Engineer Squadron at Scott AFB, Illinois. In August 2004 I deployed to Camp Cedar II Iraq as an Air Force attachment to an Army unit. I joined a county paid on call fire department called Northwest in October 2008 to increase my experience and call volume as a firefighter. I graduated from the Community College of the Air Force in February 2009, and then Southern Illinois University in August 2009. My enlistment ended with the Air Force in September 2009.
