| About Me | I was born and raised in the U.S. Air Force to a Southern Belle and the son of a drunken Polish immigrant, the eldest of 3. We lived all over the world, ending in Colorado Springs, home of the far right and radical fundamentalists and some fabulous salt-of-the-earth people. I moved to Oregon after El Paso Community College, and lived in Corvallis and Eugene -- with a 5 year stint in Maui, HI and various world trips. I worked as a wilderness educator and journalist and as an adjunct professor. Now I serve as the office administrator for Dr. Anita Dekker -- specializing in pain and occupational medicine -- and I own WindWords, a freelance business writing resumes and obits. I also am writing a book likely to win awards for longest gestation. I live with my lovely partner on an acre of glorious land in the south hills of Eugene. I have 28 years of clean and sober living with the help of AA and many supporters. My 3 children and 6 Grands keep me bemused, amused and on my feet. My friends keep me well-loved.
